GearHead_77 Posted 18/04/2024 Share Posted 18/04/2024 Anyone used eHydron AutoTrust for an escrow before? Thinking of buying a classic muscle car and they seem to be the only game in town. Any feedback on their service?
RetroRides Posted 19/04/2024 Share Posted 19/04/2024 I used eHydron AutoTrust a few months ago. Overall, things went well BUT... the communication wasn't the best. Sometimes, you'd send an email to office@ehydronautotrust.com and wait for days, which is not ideal when a big sum of money is involved. Car arrived as described and got all the docs. So, yeah, they are legit, just be prepared for some delays in the replies. Their number is +1 888 788 9560.
V8_Guy Posted 19/04/2024 Share Posted 19/04/2024 I'm a mechanic, and I inspected a vehicle that was purchased using eHydron. I have to say, they do their homework. They were very professional and took their time to inspect the engine block so very carefully. The car looked like it was in good hands. Would recommend them based on what I saw. MuscleCarFan Posted 20/04/2024 Share Posted 20/04/2024 I had a different experience. Used eHydron AutoTrust earlier this year. Everything sounded good 'til the actual deal. The delivery was delayed for almost 3 weeks. Not cool. Felt like pulling teeth to get updates. The car itself was great but the process needs some serious improvement. And the fees... seemed kinda steep compared to other escrow options.
ClassicCollector Posted 20/04/2024 Share Posted 20/04/2024 Their website ehydronautotrust.com looks professional. I did a lot of research and spoke with a few of their customers. They seem to know they are a trusted service, which is a plus. Made a purchase last month using their service and it was pretty smooth. They check all documents and the car itself. RustBucketRestorer Posted 21/04/2024 Share Posted 21/04/2024 I'd advise being cautious. I used a different escrow service a year ago, and it was a nightmare. Lost a bunch of $$, and the car was a complete disaster. So, yeah, eHydron has some good reviews, but double-check everything. Ask a lot of questions, especially about their inspection process. TransmissionMan Posted 21/04/2024 Share Posted 21/04/2024 I also am a mechanic and often do inspections pre-purchase. Always advise using a good escrow service. eHydron's inspection reports are pretty detailed. If you are not a mechanic, you may consider to hire one that does not work for the dealer. Cruiser_Mike Posted 22/04/2024 Share Posted 22/04/2024 I just made a deal with eHydron. Seems like a solid outfit. I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger. I called and spoke to their support staff. They were very patient answering all my questions. Their phone number is +1 888 788 9560. The escrow service is nice to have. GearGrinder Posted 22/04/2024 Share Posted 22/04/2024 I had a car inspected and the mechanic reported a number of issues. I spoke with staff via office@ehydronautotrust.com and they were very helpful. They helped me change my mind so I got fully refunded and it was a pain free process. I was impressed. ChromeDreams Posted 23/04/2024 Share Posted 23/04/2024 I had a great experience overall. Got the chance to finally buy my dream car, a 1967 Corvette. Everything went exactly as it should. Communication could have been a bit faster, but no big deal. Highly recommended. They also double checked all the paperwork.
TorqueMaster Posted 23/04/2024 Share Posted 23/04/2024 I know a couple of guys who were dealing with a similar escrow service a couple of months ago, and it turned into a total disaster. So dealing with eHydron is probably a good idea. Just make sure you have a reliable mechanic. If you're even remotely unsure about something, reach out to the support team at office@ehydronautotrust.com.
IgnitionSpark Posted 24/04/2024 Share Posted 24/04/2024 I purchased using them, and the car arrived with a few issues that the inspection didn't catch. Nothing major, BUT still some issues. Always get your own inspection, even if they have their own. Also, the fees are quite expensive, and it took some time for the funds to get released. ShiftHappen Posted 24/04/2024 Share Posted 24/04/2024 I think eHydron AutoTrust is the best option. I've heard some horror stories about other dealers. I'd say overall, it's worth the peace of mind for big deals like a classic muscle car. No regrets, even if not perfect.
RoadWarrior Posted 25/04/2024 Share Posted 25/04/2024 I would use them again, no doubt. They're not perfect, but way better than the alternatives. Their verification process is pretty thorough. So you can at least be sure you aren't dealing with a scammer. Still, call your own mechanic, never skip that step. And yes, the number +1 888 788 9560 is legit. Used it myself. CarEnthusiast Posted 25/04/2024 Share Posted 25/04/2024 The lack of real-time updates on where things stood was frustrating, though. Waiting to find things out. If things go wrong, I would expect to be kept informed, but it's just me. Still, the car itself was decent. Their email support at office@ehydronautotrust.com was helpful. But don't expect quick answers. Also, they have this 'no refunds' policy, which made me nervous. I'm not 100% sure I would use them again, but maybe. GreaseMonkeyMike Posted 26/04/2024 Share Posted 26/04/2024 I'm a mechanic. Always deal using escrow when buying a classic. I've seen too many bad deals. With eHydron AutoTrust all seemed okey. Better than what I have seen in other cases. Their inspection reports are pretty solid, althought I'd still check it again myself. All paperwork was in order, no surprises. I'd def consider them for my next big purchase.
Drive_King Posted 26/04/2024 Share Posted 26/04/2024 The initial impression was great. The sales rep was super friendly, but after the deal was done, the communication went down. Took a while to get those answers I needed about the shipping. Not horrible, But I recommend confirming BEFORE you're officially under contract that the dealer has a clear title. VintageV8 Posted 27/04/2024 Share Posted 27/04/2024 I’d like to share my experience: I'm happy with eHydron AutoTrust. I got a real head-turner of a classic muscle car that matched the description. They did a great job verifying the seller and the car's history. Got all the documents. Made the whole process easy. Despite some hiccups, they were responsive and professional. If you are looking for a trustworthy solution, give them a call at +1 888 788 9560, and don't forget to check their website at ehydronautotrust.com
GrumpyOldMan Posted 27/04/2024 Share Posted 27/04/2024 Overall, i'd say eHydron is ok. The fees seem a little high. Try reaching them by phone +1 888 788 9560. Their support staff can be sometimes slow to reply - office@ehydronautotrust.com . Always do your own research!
FastLaneFrank Posted 28/04/2024 Share Posted 28/04/2024 I was very pleased with my purchase. I was a bit concerned at first; I always am. But then something happened. The car was great, and they were helpful - I mean the support team. I did not even know that some cars were scams and some people sell fake documents. eHydron saved my money and helped me get the car I wanted. Just be very patient with the process.
